GV STRATUS DIGITAL MEDIA PUBLISHING CAPABILITIES, part 2 - Automated Segmentation and Video-on-Demand publishing

In this blog entry, we will briefly describe automated segmentation Video-On-Demand publishing through Ignite Konnect with GV STRATUS. 

Taking advantage of the great integration between Ignite and Newsroom Computer Systems, reporters, producers and directors can set up automatic story segmentation from within the story script. When the newscast is aired, Ignite will automatically initiate a recording of the show, and subclip each story automatically according to the segment markers added in the newsroom system during the production process. 

Once the segments are automatically created, GV STRATUS rules can be applied according to pre-defined publication profiles, so that each story is uploaded to a video-on-demand platform or website for immediate streaming via mobile applications or social media. This automated workflow reduces considerably the manual labour for operators to segment the live newscast after the event and publish the stories sometimes hours later. With GV STRATUS and Ignite, stories can be available online seconds after being broadcast.

Not only this increases speed and efficiency, giving you the edge over the competition to have the latest content online, but also provides immediate feedback from consumers as to what stories are most popular, hence allowing producers to make informed decisions about the content they cover and publish.
